+ Private Hire

In Cork we like to say that down here it’s different, and at Sea Church we try to offer something a little bit original.

Our unique venue is perfect for weddings, special events, exhibitions and functions. Boasting panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Sea Church is a magical, renovated church just outside the fishing village of Ballycotton.

While the church has retained its classic features and traditional elements, our restaurant has all of the modern touches one would expect. Not only that but a culinary feast of fresh, local produce is at our head chef’s disposal.

Offering hospitality that’s warm and true to the Irish spirit, down here it really is different. We look forward to welcoming you to the shores of Ballycotton Bay to discover what sets us apart for yourself.

Finding the ideal wedding location in Ireland can be a challenge but Sea Church provides the perfect backdrop to your special day; an exciting, high-quality alternative to conventional venues.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic wedding ceremony location, hosting an intimate wedding reception or throwing an informal wedding party, Sea Church is a wonderful scenic setting to your perfect day.

We are an approved venue for civil and same-sex weddings. The ever changing landscape of the wedding industry in Ireland has found itself moving toward Micro weddings. Due to Covid-19 and the necessity of social distancing Micro weddings have become more attractive and certainly more attainable under the current guidelines. At Sea Church we have reduced the number of attendees that we can accommodate at ceremonies to 100 guests. We also offer boutique wedding meals that can accommodate up to 50 guest. Sea Church is located on Ballycotton Bay which provides an abundance of spectacular locations for your wedding photographs.

In fact, we can even arrange for Ballycotton Sea Adventures to run a boat trip to the famous lighthouse! Whether you are Irish and live abroad, or East Cork is your dream location for your wedding, planning your big day has never been easier at Sea Church.
