October 3 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
You are warmly invited to the vernissage of artist Nadja Lana, an evening dedicated to celebrating the opening of her newest exhibition. This special occasion offers the perfect opportunity to engage with Nadja’s latest body of work, meet the artist in person, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of an exhibition launch.
The evening will begin with doors opening at 6:00pm, allowing guests to explore the exhibition space at their leisure while enjoying a selection of finger food. At 6:30pm, Nadja will give a series of speeches, offering insight into her artistic process and the inspirations behind her work. A live musical performance will follow from 7:00pm.
This vernissage promises to be both a cultural and social highlight, combining conversation, music, and art in an intimate setting that reflects the spirit of Nadja Lana’s practice.
Like peering through a window, the artist offers insight into a state of emotion oscillating between lust and fear – a driving force in her painterly practice that demands not only to be seen, but to be watched.
“The intense sexual charge of her work is impossible to ignore. It manifests not only through the consistent nudity of anonymous hybrid creatures, but also through her choice of perspective and the fragmented, cinematic glimpses that compel direct observation. Viewers are immediately made into voyeurs.” – Art Historian, Ana Lang
