Together they have sold out headliners at Dublin haunts like the Sugar Club & Lost Lane and made festival appearances at All Together Now, Forbidden Fruit, Electric Picnic & Another Love Story. Breezy falsetto crooners. Psychedelic 4th world funksters.

Chris Wong
Chris Wong, the Irish Hong Kongese singer-songwriter hailing from Dublin, sounds like a balmy breeze gently rolling along Ballycotton’s Silver Strand. His music is fresh, and his lyrics are honest. The combination of which brings about a sonic experience that is entirely Citrus-y. Even before his debut release back in August ’22, Chris had wowed on stages of revered Irish festivals like Forbidden Fruit and All Together Now. Left in the wake of these performances is an excitement around Chris that is well earned. We can’t wait for the sounds of Chris Wong to wash over us at Shipmates.
Rob de Boer
Sun soaked songster Rob de Boer is a half Dutch half Irish crooner most often found afloat off the coast of county Mayo. Caught up in his net are a refreshing medley of poetic lyrics and groovy rhythms. His voice oozes charisma and is sure to brighten your day like a beam of light emanating from the Ballycotton Lighthouse. Rob translated the storming streaming success of his debut single ‘Little Big Brother’ into a string of high-profile appearances at Forbidden Fruit, All Together Now, Electric Picnic & Another Love Story; culminating into sold-out headline shows at Dublin’s Lost Lane and the Sugar Club. We are eager to bask in his warm glow at Ship Mates.
Papa Romeo
Papa Romeo are a five-piece band from Dublin. The swirling concoction of their jazz influence, indie rock ties, and bedroom pop roots is a perfect storm. With appearances at Cork Jazz Festival, Other Voices, All Together Now and Another Love Story, as well as selling out shows at the Sugar Club and Grand Social, they have earned a reputation as a versatile band who can really rock a room and were named an Artist to Watch for 2024 by Hot Press Magazine.
