Emerging Egos – Comedy Night, hosted by the brilliant Cornelius Patrick O’Sullivan, is the latest addition to our comedy lineup following the roaring success of our monthly Comedy Club – Alter Egos.
Cornelius, known for his sharp wit and infectious charm, will be bringing the brightest upcoming stars in the comedy scene to the stage on the 3rd Wednesday of every month – starting on November 20th 2024.
One of those stars is Kevin O’Connell, a high-energy performer who sharpened his playful, punchline-packed act on the UK comedy circuit. Having worked with top comedy clubs such as the Comedy Store, Angel Comedy, and Top-Secret Comedy, Kevin’s offbeat humour has earned him spots in the finals of prestigious competitions like Hackney Empire New Act of the Year, and he was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award. Upon his return to Ireland, Kevin was crowned Cork Comedian of the Year 2024, solidifying his status as one of the country’s rising comedic talents.
Jo Heffernan is a comedian and writer from Wexford. She has performed internationally in Ireland, the UK and New Zealand and has been selected to perform as part of the Scene & Heard Festival (2020 & 2023), BCC New Comedy Competition (2022), Cherry Breakout Semi-finalist (2022), Funny Women (2018 & 2019), New Zealand RAW Quest Wellington finalist (2019). She has performed with several clubs such as Hysteria, the International, Ha’penny Inn, Stitches, N20 Comedy Club in Dublin and Coco Comedy Club, Any Craic Comedy Club and An Seomra Comedy Club in Cork.
Saheed is a Nigerian comedian who brings an authentic touch to the comedy scene, growing up amidst the charm of Cork. With a style that effortlessly blends cultural insights and relatable humor. Known for his down-to-earth personality and universal appeal, audiences everywhere have embraced his genuine wit. Even the Holy Christ Kent himself acknowledged Seheed’s comedic personality, dubbing him a “funny fecker.”
