Talk The Talk Podcast Festival – The Murphy’s Pubcast with Fred Cooke, Gary O Brien and Tony Kiernan @The Blackbird

Comedian Fred Cooke, musician Gary O’Brien and screenwriter Tony Kiernan are bringing their hilarious podcast, “The Murphy’s Pubcast” to Cork.Usually recorded live in Murphy’s Bar on Brandon Pier, in West Kerry, the Pubcast has gotten a day pass out of the Kingdom and are heading to Cork for a comical, interactive, music extravaganza!!… All while having some tasty, creamy pints.
Audience members should be ready to take part, as Fred and Gary try to write the ultimate “sing-along song” while Tony tries to find “The most interesting person in the room”.
(warning: music extravaganza may just be Fred playing a musical instrument with his nose, terms and conditions apply)
Tony Kiernan has worked in Irish media for over 20 years, he is currently a Director of Moynihan Russell Studios in Dublin, who produce high profile TV shows and Films. Tony has over one thousand TV and Film credits under his belt, such as “Oppenheimer”, “Vikings”, “House of Cards” and “Living with Lucy”.
During his career, Tony has picked up 13 Phonographic Performance Ireland Awards (PPI), has worked on 5 IFTA winning TV shows and has produced multi-platinum selling comedy albums.
Gary O’Brien is a guitar and bodhrán player hailing from Castlegregory Co. Kerry. Gary has toured extensively and recorded with some of Irelands most well known Folk and Trad musicians including Paddy Keenan, John McSherry, Gerry O Connor and Mike McGoldrick to name a few. He has also had the honour of being invited to play for Sting on several occasions the most recent being for Sting and Trudies 30th wedding anniversary in Tuscany.
Gary is also a member of World fusion group Jiggy and the west Kerry band Pólca 4 with whom he has performed many high profile gigs and festivals around the globe.
Fred Cooke is one of Ireland’s best-known comedians. He has been delivering a unique brand of comedy through his musical prowess and wild crafted physical story telling since 2011.
Aside from stand up, Fred is also well known for his appearances on TV shows such as RTE’s Dancing with the Stars, Bridget & Eamon and Republic of Telly.
Fred can currently be seen as show announcer on the “Tommy Tiernan Show”.
