Fiona Kennedy
May 5 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Singer-songwriter Fiona Kennedy will step on to the Sea Church stage to celebrate the launch of her new album Find Me.
Known as one of Irelands most distinctive talented vocalists, her single release All Together Now spent several weeks on the RTE Radio 1 Recommends List in July & became a summer hit for the Cork singer songwriter.
Fiona has had a career spanning over 35 years, having started in the 80s when she won Ireland’s first TV talent competition ‘Screen Test’. Since then she’s featured prominently both on radio, TV and on stage with many Late Late Show appearances among other shows. She’s been nominated for an IRMA Award, had a one hour TV special on RTE, and has supported international artists such as John Martyn, Carole King & Kris Kristofferson.
Fiona Kennedy’s Find Me is an album that explores the human condition through the lens of love and heartbreak. Each track is a unique expression of Kennedy’s artistry, showcasing her ability to craft powerful songs that resonate with audiences. With its heartfelt lyrics, powerful vocals, and memorable melodies, Find Me is an album, we believe, will captivate listeners from start to finish. “Fiona is an artist with a glorious voice…a mix of Emmylou Harris & Chrissie Hinds” Jack O’Rourke.
In her own words: “I’m so excited to share this album with the world. It’s been a long journey to get here, and I’m so proud of what we’ve created. I hope that people can connect with the songs and find comfort and hope in the music, just as I have”
Kennedy will be accompanied by her band for an evening filled with great songs and stories, with a performance that is sure to evoke memories and create new ones.
