December 10 @ 8:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Fr Ted star, Ardal O’Hanlon, brings his acclaimed stand-up show to Seachurch.
A founding father of Dublin’s comedy scene, Ardal moved to London where he won the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year and was soon catapulted into the world of sitcom. However despite that distraction, he continued to tour worldwide as a comedian and presented THE STAND UP SHOW (BBC) for three series. More recently, he featured on LIVE AT THE APOLLO (BBC) and MICHAEL MCINTYRE’S ROADSHOW (BBC) not to mention his own DAVE’S ONE NIGHT STAND (Dave) and a half-hour special for COMEDY CENTRAL (USA). He has also appeared on the likes of THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW (BBC) and PARKINSON (BBC).
As well as FR TED (C4), for which he won a British Comedy Award and Bafta nominations, Ardal’s TV credits include leading roles in MY HERO (BBC), DEATH IN PARADISE (BBC), and BIG BAD WORLD (ITV). He once played a cat creature in DR WHO (BBC), a seedy teacher in SKINS (C4) and an uncle in DERRY GIRLS (C4). He has also presented a number of documentaries including the celebrated LEAGUES APART, GUESS WHO’S DEAD and HOLY F**K for RTE, SHOWBANDS (BBC) and TREE OF THE YEAR (C4).
Ardal is delighted to bring his sharp observations on modern life and post-pandemic reflections to Ballycotton for the first time.
